Privacy Policy for SocialSave
This Privacy Policy explains how SocialSave (“we”, “our”, or “the App”) handles information when you use the SocialSave mobile application. By using SocialSave, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
1. About the App
SocialSave is a mobile app that helps users save publicly available videos, reels, photos, and similar media by pasting or sharing a link. Saved files are stored on your device so you can view them offline.
2. Information We Collect
SocialSave does not require account registration or login.
Depending on how you use the App, we may process the following:
- Links you provide: URLs you paste, share into the App, or that the App reads from your clipboard (only when clipboard detection is enabled) so the App can fetch and save the media.
- App activity & diagnostics: basic usage events (for example app opens, save attempts, success/failure) through Google Firebase Analytics.
- Crash reports: technical crash and error logs through Google Firebase Crashlytics to help us fix bugs and improve stability.
- Device information (via Google Firebase): items such as device model, OS version, app version, and similar technical data needed for analytics and crash reporting.
3. Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not create user accounts or require sign-in.
- We do not upload your saved media files to our own servers.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
4. How Media Files Are Stored
Media you save with SocialSave is stored locally on your device (app storage and/or media library, depending on your device and permissions). You control those files on your device.
5. Permissions
Depending on your Android version, SocialSave may ask for permissions such as:
- Internet access — to resolve and download media
- Media/storage access — to save or export files on your device
- Clipboard access (optional setting) — to detect supported links
6. How We Use Information
- To provide core App features (resolve links and save media)
- To measure App performance and improve reliability
- To diagnose crashes and fix bugs
- To respond if you contact us for support
7. Third-Party Services
We use Google Firebase services (Analytics and Crashlytics). Google may process data according to Google’s own privacy policies:
When you download content from third-party platforms (for example Instagram, TikTok, Facebook), those platforms have their own terms and privacy policies. SocialSave does not control those services. SocialSave does not support downloading from YouTube.
8. Advertising
SocialSave currently does not show ads inside the App. If ads (for example Google AdMob) are added later, this Privacy Policy will be updated and the Play Store Data safety section will be updated to match.
9. Data Retention
- Media files remain on your device until you delete them.
- Analytics and crash data retained by Google Firebase follow Google’s retention settings for those products.
10. Children’s Privacy
SocialSave is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
11. Your Choices
- You can stop using the App at any time.
- You can disable clipboard detection in App settings (if available).
- You can delete saved media from your device.
- You can uninstall the App to remove App data from your device.
12. Your Rights
Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or information about data processing. To make a request, email aurevixlabsapp@gmail.com.
13. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect information processed by the App and our service providers. No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.
14. Important Legal Note About Downloaded Content
You are responsible for ensuring you only save content you own, have permission to save, or that the platform’s terms allow you to download. SocialSave does not grant you rights to copyrighted material.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective date” at the top will be updated when changes are made. Continued use of the App after updates means you accept the revised Policy.
